(A CHANNELING FROM THE SOLOMON)

     Hello Solomon, Lately in my classes, there has been a fair amount of discussion of free will and karma.  Would you please share some insight on this subject?

     Free will is not a principle that began at birth.  It existed in truth since before the beginning of your beginning as you know it.  It is because of free will that the physical plane was conceived and created.  In fact, the process of creation is an on-going process and will exist long after this illusion you call the earth plane has fulfilled its destiny and moved on to another mode of existence.

     Many philosophers have said that human beings are victims of circumstance (Karma).  Although this is a very common perception among most people, there could be little else that would be further from the truth.  The truth is that you create all circumstances by the use of free will.  then, perhaps fall victim to them in some cases.

     May we give you an illustration that may clarify many questions regarding your inquiry?  Bare in mind that any illustration may bring about more questions than they answer.  This is a good thing!  It supports growth and expanding understanding.  Also realize that this illustration, like others, is limited to words.  Truth is never fully expressed in words.  However it is through the light coming radiating through words that will bring truth to light.  Are we speaking with clarity to you?

     I believe so, please continue.

     In the world of spirit, before you were born in the physical, you lived in groups of like minded people.  These people had very similar experiences in their past and have understandings and other perceptions in common.  The love felt was all but pure and that came from the depth of the soul.  In fact, those groups could be considered as "Soul Groups" or communities for want of a better word because of the love and compassion for one another manifested there.

Counselors and guides were very far more accessible in the world of spirit than in the physical existence.  This is true simply because the vale that separates the spirit world from the physical is non-existent in that realm.  It would be foolish indeed to think that those residents in those soul groups would be left on their own.  Guidance is always available whether in spirit or in the physical.  The laws are the same and the love is the same.  It is ego that makes it difficult for the individual to hear and feel the presence of those in spirit who would guide and teach.  Individual experience and beliefs vary and makes it seem difficult to connect with the best guidance.

     As you contemplate this principle, you will no doubt realize that the principle of karma exists in spirit as well as in the physical.  While in spirit, a person enjoys far more understanding of that principle and is able to use it as a tool in setting up the circumstances and environment while in the body.

     as you and other were contemplating these and other factors, you began you yearn to experience certain concepts and lessons that can be had only in a physical body.  Among other feelings, a sense of unfinished business  were paramount in your mind.  These perceptions may or may not have been accurate, but they were your feelings and you were determined to to do what it took to balance that unfinished business.  There were also many fears and anxieties within you that you felt necessary to resolve while in the body.  Of course, there were many accomplishments and lessons that you had learned that you felt the need to express in the body too.  These and many other factors lead to the overwhelming desire to express and experience in the body.

     there was much discussion and consulting with those who had a broader perspective on the things you wanted to experience and accomplish.  Many of these close friend would become your partners in spirit (guides and teachers).  There beloved friends and counselors volunteered to be with you for the entire length of your journey in the body.  They have a direct line to  the essence of your soul.  You no doubt feel their love, support and warnings from time to time.

     I certainly do!  I depend on them with all I do and experience when I' m in tune.  I am trying to be in tune more.  Are these friends my guardian angels?

     Those guides and friends sometimes play the roll of angels, but are not angels in the strictest sense of the word.  (Angels will be the subject of another channeling.)  We are pleased with your efforts to be more in tune.  This is a wise thing on your part.  Of course, you have the ability and right to access your own higher mind on your own and you also have the support of those guides and teachers to help you to that point.  Stay on track!  Use the principle of instant forgiveness as much with yourself as you do with your fellow beings and you will be glad to discover an even clearer relationship with your higher mind and your creator.

     Now, we shall return to the original question that you asked.

     When you were certain about the experiences you felt the need to have when you embodied, some of those who loved you volunteered to be in the physical with you to assist you in playing out your drama.  Please note that some of these beloved ones chose to play an adversarial roll.  These are some of the most beloved because of the rolls they chose to play in your behalf.

     When you had completed your plans for the things you needed to experience and teach while in the body, you and all those connected with you literally merged with you and you became one for a very short time.  This is possible when not encumbered with a physical body.  (There are time when you no doubt feel this when you are of a profound emotional and/or mental oneness with a loved one.)  The principles are the same in spirit except it is a literal thing.

     When merged, you and your loved ones created a unique phenomenon.  It was a vibration, very similar to a sound.  That vibration (energy) cold stay, unchanged, in the universe forever.  Once that vibration was created, the other beloved entities, again separated and resumed their rolls with themselves and others in that "soul group."  There was also, no doubt, a great deal of excitement among your friends and loved ones about the drama (karma) that was about to unfold for you.

     At the instant of conception that vibration together with all the hopes, fears and dreams were permanently etched in your DNA.  You could call that your karmic matrix for want of a better phrase.  At the time your DNA was being affected, an amnesia was formed to prevent you would have no conscious memory of the specific things you discussed and experience before your embodiment.  The record is still there in your body.  Your spirit also have relatively few fragments of your purpose as well.  That veil is still intact.

     Does this mean that my spirit permanently inhabited my body from the moment of conception?

     It does not.  Your body was not yet able to be an appropriate host for you at that time.  However, you remained very close and witnesses your body's progress from a single cell until it was ready for birth.  You were joined with your body as soon as it could sustain your energy.  Or, in other words, when the energy of your body was fully compatible with the energy of your spirit. Then you were able to be a permanent resident until the death of the body.  Of course, that time varies depending on the circumstances and experiences you chose before conception took place.

     Does this mean that our lives are all planned out before we are born?  If so, what about free will?

     Only the major aspect of your life's path ( karma) are charted in advance.  Even then, free will is the primary principle of being in a physical environment.  How you work it out is entirely a matter of free will.

     Is it possible for one to be consciously aware of his/her karma?

     Yes it is!  You are, even now, living out your life's purpose.  When you question yourself about this, simply look back on your life and you will see your intended purpose is already unfolding.  It has been and will always be your free will decisions as to how you respond or react to the events in your life that directs your future.  In other words, How you work out your purpose is still a matter of free will.

     You also have the free will to deviate from your path.  Those tangents may be easier and /or more enjoyable, but your peace of mind and genuine knowing will be diminished and there will ultimately be a heartfelt yearning to return or discover your primary path.

     How will I know whether or not I'm on my true path or what my ego needs for its gratification?

     You can know by getting to know your ego and how it operates.  As you have been taught, your ego is your mind and its attached emotions.  It is only through intuition and attunement with your "higher self" and/or divine help that you can discern the difference.  We will say, however, that there is a sense of peace when you are on your given path that ego not duplicate.  A little practice with meditation and pondering will be of great help to you with this concept.

     You can also know through objectively observing the various situations, dramas, and circumstances in your life.  Then, ask for the lesson to be revealed to you and it will indeed come to you.  The purity of your intent and the depth of your attunement will determine the speed in which that revelation will surface.

     All experiences in your life reflect your attunement with the purpose you intended to fulfill while in your physical body.  This can take time and effort, but the rewards are outstanding.  As you gain more understanding of yourself and your  place in the universe, you will become progressively more open to the wisdom that is always available.

     You are NOT without help!  Remember that you have friends and associates in and out of the physical that are willing and eager to be with you and help you in your journey.  You must also be willing to recognize and accept the guidance even if it is not always easy.  Be aware that it is your responsibility to ask with purpose and respect and then be ready and willing to receive the guidance in a way you can understand and accept.  You must transcend your ego and receive the light through your heart.  (There will be more said on this subject at a later time.)

     The purpose is not entirely automatic and it sometime takes a fair amount of time and effort, but we promise you that it is well worth the experience. Once you discover the best process in whatever area your focus might be, then it is essential to trust it and stay out of the way!

     Karma is your creation.  Like free will, your karmic patterns, for the most part, started long before you were embodied in the physical.  It is only through the principle of free will that karma can exist.  And it is through understanding and wisdom that karma can be dissolved.  It is an illusion to think that karma came about in any other way.  Of course, the perception usually is that karma is a law that one has no control over.  This is because you are not looking with an eternal perspective.

     The root of karma is emotion: there is not an example of it where emotions are not involved in some way.  Often, these emotions are very pleasant and positive in nature.  When this is is the case, the karma is also pleasant and positive.  On the other hand, when the emotions are painful and seemingly negative, you will, very likely, create a painful and seemingly negative circumstance in which to play out that particular drams.  Always be mindful that even emotions are limited to this life alone.  They go with you upon leaving your existence.  They are present when planning your next experience whether in your current embodiment or in spirit.  Remember, time and space are not limited to this live alone.

     Time is a relative thing and the principles that guide it are as valid for a millennium or simply one fraction of a minute of earth time, it makes no difference in eternity.  Your time in this illusion you call the earth plane is but only a fleeting instant in consciousness.

     We hope we have been able to help you gain a clearer understanding.  We are also aware that there have been as many questions generated as there have been answers given, this has been out intent.  Please make a record of these questions and we will be happy share more insight as it becomes timely and appropriate.  As you continue to meditate and contemplate these things the answers can also come to you from within.
